Sheila Neder Cerezetti

Sheila C. Neder Cerezetti is a Professor of Commercial Law at the University of São Paulo. She holds a Law degree and a PhD in Commercial Law from the same university. She was a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute (Florence, 2011–2012) and a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, conducting postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law (Hamburg). She is the Executive Director of the Brazilian Institute for Business Rescue Studies (IBR), Co-chair of the Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Law Moot Committee (the Fletcher Moot), a member of the INSOL Academic Steering Committee, and a member of IWIRC. She has published numerous books and specialized articles in the field of commercial law, with a particular focus on insolvency and corporate law. As a consultant in insolvency, corporate, and contract law, she also plays a prominent role as an arbitrator in business disputes both nationally and internationally.
