Paola Altagracia Herasme

Paola Alt. Herasme E. is a Dominican professional with more than seventeen years of experience in the financial sector, specializing in corporate governance, corporate law, and financial regulation. She currently serves as Manager of the Corporate Governance Division at Grupo Popular, S.A., where she leads strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the corporate governance framework, ensuring regulatory alignment, and developing sound governance policies and practices for the Group and its entities. She holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Business Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), as well as advanced training in general management, banking, and corporate governance from institutions such as Barna Management School, Wharton – University of Pennsylvania, EUDE Legacy School of Ownership, and Universidad Anáhuac México, among others. Her professional background includes managerial positions in legal, real estate, and operations areas within the Dominican banking system. Her main areas of expertise focus on corporate governance, corporate law, and financial regulation, with extensive experience in the design, implementation, evaluation, and strengthening of institutional frameworks aligned with international standards. In addition, she has knowledge and practical experience in inheritance law, real estate law, and the financial sector, integrating these disciplines to provide a strategic, technical, and cross-cutting perspective that contributes to the strengthening of organizations.
