Juana Pulgar Ezquerra
Juana Pulgar Ezquerra is a Professor of Commercial Law at the Complutense University of Madrid and Vice President of the Commercial Law Section of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation. She serves as a permanent member of the General Codification Commission, where she has contributed to the drafting and reform of Spanish insolvency legislation, including the Consolidated Text of the Insolvency Law (2016) and the transposition of EU Directives 2019/1023 and 2019/2121. Internationally, she is a member of the International Insolvency Institute (III), the Conference of European Restructuring and Insolvency Law (CERIL), and the European Banking Institute (EBI). Since 2009, she has also served as Academic Counsel at Latham & Watkins. Author of numerous publications on company law, insolvency law, and corporate restructuring, she has been a speaker at leading national and international forums. In recognition of her distinguished career, she was awarded the Cross of Honour of the Order of Saint Raymond of Peñafort (2009).
