Guillermo Cabanellas

Guillermo Cabanellas holds law and economics degrees by the Law and Economic Sciences Faculty of Universidad de Buenos Aires. He also has a Masters in Comparative Law by Illinois University, were he also obtained his SJD degree. He is a member of the Bar Association of San Isidro, province of Buenos Aires. Dr. Cabanellas is a senior partner of the Corporate Law department in Cabanellas, Etchebarne y Kelly Abogados (CEK). He has broad experience in Corporate Law, Corporate Taxation, Capital Markets and Intellectual Property. He has been a research fellow at the Max Plank Institute in Munich. Currently, Dr. Cabanellas is the Director of the Masters in Business Law in San Andrés University and a graduate professor at Universidad de Buenos Aires and Illinois University, in the United States. He was the General Director of Economic Legislation at the Ministry of Economy and the director of the Foreign Trade Commission of the Republic of Argentina. Dr. Cabanellas has authored more than 30 books and 100 articles published in law journals in Argentina, Europe and the United States.
