Carolina Fabara holds a PhD in International Commercial Law and is a lawyer specializing in international legal consulting, with extensive experience in contracts, investments, and business development. She has worked at the Development Bank of Ecuador, where she provided legal advice in the areas of contracts and investments, contributing to the strengthening of legal management in strategic development projects. As the founder of Umalliq, Carolina promotes women’s access to financing through entrepreneurship and socially impactful projects, fostering economic inclusion and female empowerment in Ecuador and across the region. She also founded Cross Frontier Legal Consulting, a firm dedicated to facilitating the entry and operation of foreign companies in the Chinese market, combining legal and strategic expertise to support international business. Carolina is recognized for her academic and professional work both nationally and internationally, actively participating in research and publications on international commercial law, foreign investment, and sustainable development. Her career reflects a deep commitment to integrating international law, inclusive economic development, and the promotion of opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
