Werner Zitzmann

Werner Zitzmann is a Corporate Finance Professor at the Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración (CESA) in Bogotá, Colombia. He obtained a BA in Industrial Economy at the Los Andes University (Colombia), a Masters in University Teaching and Research with emphasis in Economy and Business Administration at the University Sergio Arboleda (Colombia), and a Ph.D. in Finance at the [Centro Universitario de Dirección de Empresas de Suiza] . He was also a visiting scholar at Stanford Graduate School of Business and at the New York University Stern School of Business. Currently, Mr. Zitzmann is the Director of the Masters in Corporate Finance at CESA (Colombia) and has been a graduate and post-graduate professor in many local and international institutions, including the University Externado de Colombia, the University of Los Andes, the Rosario University, the University of the North, the University Santo Tomás de Aquino, the University Sergio Arboleda, the University Jorge Tadeo Lozano, the Javariana University, the University of the Sabana and the Long-distance Education National University. In addition to his academic career, Mr. Zitzmann has given managerial independent consultancy from 1970, having advised different industries, banks, financial corporations, educational institutions and governmental entities. He has been an international consultant for different United Nations programs and a member of different boards, including the academic committee of the AMV and the International Association of Financial Analysts. His main areas of research and professional expertise are companies’ valuation, project finance valuation, financial modelling, credit assessment, financial restructuration, and financial and strategic planning.
