The Ibero-American Institute for Law and Finance (IILF) is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote the interdisiplinary study of law and finance, including, among others areas of research, the study of corporate law, bankruptcy law, banking law, capital markets law, corporate finance, financial economics, and financial regulation.
In particular, the Ibero-American Institute for Law and Finance promotes:
- An empirical, comparative, and interdisciplinary approach to the study of law and finance.
- The analysis of the economic desirability of legal rules with the aim of proposing legal reforms that may contribute to the promotion of economic growth.
- The follow-up, analysis and assessment of new legislation and relevant case law in Ibero-America.
- The improvement, cooperation and internationalization of legal scholarship in Ibero-American countries.
- Network among scholars and practitioners interested in the field of law and finance.
- The organization of seminars, workshops and conferences with the aim of presenting new research that may contribute to he promotion of social welfare in the Ibero-American community.
